Clearly, two days in Mindanao = not enough. My brother and I got our hopes up, unfortunately. We were not able to go ziplining because of time constraints. On the other hand, the rapids of CDO river were soooo fun to ride that we barely noticed 3 hours already passed by. Yes, it usually takes a couple of hours for normal/average river length. The river was freezing cold but that did not stop us from jumping into the river. Of course. We had our life vests on so the river was practically owned by us! (Depth of river, according to our guide, ranges from 5ft to 50ft)
Some of the things we saw were water spiders, shed snake skin, mangroves, twilight-esque trees (that were insanely tall you’d start to think Edward Cullen was somewhere on top of them looking down on you and staring you down), and a humongous bonsai by the river.
Downside of having to keep all gadgets in a waterproof bag during rafting escapade: NO PICTURES. Well, except for some low-res ones taken by some of the personnel who constantly tried to find the middle ground between taking photos of happy tourists on their boats and literally balancing their own kayaks as they take photos. It was a skill, I’m telling you.
So….I do not have photos (at all :c) of our river rafting escapade.
But I do have photos of some of the group presentations done by several LRA departments from all over the country during the LRA Christmas Party.
Some miscellaneous photos of the awarding ceremony, my family, gifts, and venue decorations (etc.):
